How to configure payment form or method selection bar in Studio

The Payment Form/Method Selection feature allows donors to choose which payment form to use for their donation. This gives donors greater flexibility with payment options while allowing your organisation to include multiple payment forms on a single donation page for more streamlined transaction management and reporting.

Once enabled, donors can select their preferred payment form during the donation process. The selected payment form will be displayed in the Payment step, regardless of the default payment form URL configured when creating the donation form. 

Step 1: Enable Payment Form  Selection

  1. Open Manage Forms and enter the Form Editor for your three-step form.
  2. Go to the Amount tab.
  3. Scroll to the Payment Form Selection (Optional) section.
  4. Click Enable Payment Form Selection.

Once enabled, a Payment Form Selection bar will now appear on the form preview.

Step 2: Set up your Payment Form Selection Options

  1. Click Add under Picklist Options.
  2. Enter a Payment Method Name..
  3. Copy and paste the corresponding Payment Form URL.
  4. Click Update to save your changes.

Note

The first picklist option should always use the same Payment Form URL that was configured when the donation form was created, as this serves as the form's default payment form. You can locate your default payment form URL at Form Editor’s General tab.

 

 

To manage your picklist options:

  • Click Add to create a new picklist option.
  • Click Remove to delete an option.
  • Click Edit next to any option to update its details.

Note: Studio does not currently support reordering picklist options after they are created.

 

Step 3: Configure Payment Method Settings

You can also customise the Label field to change the text displayed above the Payment Method picklist.

Step 4: Save and Test Your Form

  1. Click Update at the bottom of your screen to save all changes.
  2. Open a live Studio page connected to this donation form.
  3. Select the desired payment option from the picklist.
  4. Complete a test donation.
  5. In Salesforce, locate the resulting Payment Txn record and verify the Payment Form field matches the payment option selected on the donation form.
