File size and naming rules for uploading images in Studio
If you're having trouble uploading a background image — even though the file size appears to be under 2MB — there are two common reasons this can happen:
📏 1. File Size Limits by Area
Payments2us Studio enforces different image size limits to ensure fast page loading:
- Donation Pages & Thank You Pages: Max file size = 2MB
- Donation Forms (Step 1 images): Max file size = 100KB
💡 Make sure you're checking the file size based on where you're uploading the image.
🔤 2. Special Characters in the File Name
If your image meets the size limit but still won't upload, it may be due to special characters in the file name. For example:
- Characters like
_,(,),&, or#may cause upload errors - File names should include only letters and numbers
