1. Minfraud Overview
For publicly facing checkout forms, Payments2Us has built in integration to MaxMind Minfraud product. This looks at attributes on the form and user details to allocate a transaction Risk Score and an IP Risk Score. If the risk is outside the allowable values, then the transaction is rejected and internal logs are updated.
The Risk Scores are not checked/calculated when the checkout if access by a logged in Salesforce CRM User.
If any transaction exceeds the nominated maximum Risk Score then the transaction will be blocked AND their IP Address will be blocked to stop future submissions. In addition, a Payments2Us Error Log is created.
Higher score means more risk on the transaction.
Raising the cutoff score allows more risky transactions through.
2. Minfraud Settings
You can specify the max allowed "Max Fraud Risk Score" and "Max Fraud IP Risk Score" on the Merchant Facility.

The risk scores calculated are saved on the Payment Txn. If you are seeing transactions that look suspicious, then you can use this information to adjust the Max Fraud Risk/Max Fraud IP Risk Scores on the Merchant Facility.

3. Adding your Own Minfraud Credentials
Starting from version 11.0, Payments2Us allows you to connect your own MinFraud account. This provides greater flexibility and more granular control over fraud detection and prevention for your payment processes.
If you do not already have a MinFraud account, you can sign up using the official MaxMind registration page:
https://www.maxmind.com/en/create-account
After creating your account, please refer to the MinFraud online documentation for detailed information on service usage and configuration options.
Your MaxMind User Id is your Account Id (1)
Your MaxMind License Key is created and ONLY shown on creation when going to - Manage License Keys, Generate new license key button (2)

Once your MinFraud account is set up, copy your User ID and License Key into the following fields on the Merchant Facility record in Salesforce:
- MaxMind User Id
- MaxMind License Key
After these fields are populated, Payments2Us will automatically use your MinFraud credentials for fraud scoring and risk assessment. This ensures that all fraud checks are performed using your own MinFraud configuration, allowing you to tailor fraud prevention rules according to your organisation’s needs.
