Creating a 3-Step Donation Form in Payments2us Studio

How do I create a 3-step donation form in Studio and connect it to Salesforce?

Connect your Salesforce form and customize your donation flow

Your donation form is the heart of your campaign β€” it’s where donors choose how much to give, enter their details, and complete payment. Payments2us Studio uses a 3-step form that connects directly to your Salesforce-native Payments2us form, so donations flow seamlessly into Salesforce.

This guide shows you how to connect your Salesforce form, then customize its appearance, donation options, and contact fields β€” all from within Studio.

πŸ”— Step 1: Connect Your Salesforce Donation Form

1.In Salesforce, go to the Payment Form Builder

2. Click YOUR WEBSITE and copy the form’s website URL

3. In Studio, go to Manage Forms and click Add Form

4. Enter a Form Title

5. Paste the URL you just copied into the Iframe URL field

6. Click Create to add the form.

✏️ Step 2: Open the Form Editor

Click the edit icon to open the form editor.

🎨 Step 3: Customize the General Settings & Color Palette

Under the General tab, you can:

  • Update the Form Title
  • Edit the Iframe URL
  • Choose a color palette to match your campaign branding

Click Update to apply any color changes to the live page. You may need to refresh your page to view the changes.

Β

πŸ’° Step 4: Configure the Donation Amount Section

Go to the Amount tab to customize donation frequencies and preset donation options.

4.1 Donation FrequencyΒ

  • Click Add to select frequencies to add
  • Click Remove to remove a frequency
  • You must select at least one and up to three donation frequencies
  • Click Save to confirm

βœ… By default, Studio includes β€œOnce Only” and β€œMonthly”

⚠️ Important:

The frequencies you enable in Studio must match your Salesforce Payments2us form settings exactly. Otherwise, donors may encounter processing errors.

Β

Β

4.2 Donation Amount

For each frequency, you can customize:

  • Amount values (e.g., $30, $50, $100)
  • Images (optional)
  • Descriptions (e.g., β€œProvides food for 5 families”)

To manage amounts:

  • Click Edit next to an amount
  • Click Update to save changes
  • Click Remove to delete it
  • Click Add at the bottom to add more (up to 6 per frequency)

When done, click Update at the bottom of the section to save your changes.

Β

πŸ‘€ Step 5: Customize Contact Fields

Under the Contact tab, you can control which fields appear in Step 2 of the form.

Standard Fields

  • Click Edit to change field label, helper text, or required status
  • Use Show/Hide to toggle visibility

⚠️ Important

If you need to hide a field, please make sure you change it to unrequired.

  • Click Update beside each field to confirm
  • Click Update at the bottom to save changes

Β

Custom Fields (Optional)

⚠️ Reminder:
Contact field settings must match the field mappings in your Salesforce Payments2us form to ensure donations process correctly.

Β

Β

πŸ’³ Step 6: Configure the Payment Section

Under the Payment tab, you can:

  • Show or hide the Payment Overview and Payment Notes
  • Adjust the Iframe Height to avoid scroll bars inside the form

To preview iframe height changes, check your live page β€” the Studio editor won’t reflect this directly.

🎨 To customize styling inside the iframe (e.g., fonts, button styles), update the Salesforce form theme directly.

πŸ’Ύ Step 7: Save Your Changes

Once you’ve completed your customizations, click Update at the bottom of the editor to save your form.

πŸ”— Step 8: Connect Your Form to a Donation Page

Now that your form is ready, it’s time to link it to a donation page.

To do this:

  1. Go to the Pages tab in Studio
  2. Find the donation page you want to connect the form to
  3. Click the three dots menu next to the page name
  4. Select Update Details
  5. In the Select Form dropdown, choose the form you just created and customized
  6. Click Submit to save

βœ… This connects the page layout to the live donation form β€” so donors can view and complete the full donation flow.

Once connected, you can preview or publish your page as needed.
