1. Add custom fields in Salesforce
For detailed steps, please refer to how to add custom fields on Salesforce
2. Copy the API Name of your custom field
- Go to Object Manager → Payment Txn.
- Navigate to Fields & Relationships and locate your custom field.
- Click on the field to open its details page.
- Copy the API Name of the field.

3. Add custom fields in P2U Studio
- Go to Manage Forms → Select Your Form → Contact → Custom Fields.
- Click Add to create a new custom field.

4. Edit and configure the field
Field Type: Choose from three options – Text Box, Dropdown (Picklist), or Checkbox.
Label: Enter the field label.
Parameter Key: Paste the API Name you copied from Salesforce.
Help Notes: Add text that will appear as a tooltip for this field.
Required Field: Tick this option if the field must be filled in; leave it unchecked if optional.
Hide from Users: Tick this option if you want to set a default value while keeping the field hidden from donors.
Dropdown Options: If the Field Type is Dropdown, set the available options.
Ensure Configuration Consistency!
Make sure the field configurations in P2U Studio match those in Salesforce. Any inconsistencies may cause issues with data synchronization.

5. Click Save to confirm your configurations

6. Click Update at the bottom to save all changes
