Why the field "Regular Payment Day" is shown with a day, when its set to a frequency One-Off?
If the field "Regular Payment Day" on the Object Payment Txn has a picklist value field checked as a default value, For example: "15" in the "Regular Payment day" field which has a picklist value.
Though its not Recurring Payment, the Regular Payment Day is assigned the default value.
The Recurring Day will have no impact on processing for non recurring Payments.
