How to Create Remote Site Settings in Salesforce

Purpose

In order for Payments2Us to have online forms that update Payments2US related Custom Objects, you need to permit it to access the Salesforce Metadata API of your organization.

Steps to Create a Remote Site Setting

  • Login to Salesforce
    • Go to your Salesforce org (e.g., login.salesforce.com or test.salesforce.com).
       
  • Navigate to Remote Site Settings
    • Click the Gear icon → Setup.
    • In the Quick Find box, type "Remote Site Settings".
    • Click Remote Site Settings under Security.
       
  • Create a New Remote Site
    • Click the New Remote Site button.
       

 

  • Fill Out the Remote Site Details
    • Remote Site Name: A unique, descriptive name (no spaces). Example: Payments2UsSalesforceURL.
    • Remote Site URL: Copy this URL from AboutPayments or Payments2Us Settings tab.
    • Description (optional): Add any description if you want to.
    • Active: Make sure this checkbox is checked to enable it.
       

 

  • Save
    • Click Save to complete the setup.
