Why is Apply pay not showing as a Payment Method?

This is only relevant to Stripe SCA and Windcave PxPay, as those payment gateways provide Apply pay and Google pay functionality. 

 

Please note that payment process for these payment gateway includes a ‘next’ button before the payment method can be used. For more details see the following FAQ for Stripe and Windcave.

The reason that Apply Pay is not showing as a payment method could be due to the following reasons:

  1. Apple Pay setup has not been completed correctly (links for relevant payment gateway above info) 
  2. Apple Pay will only appear on checkouts when on an IOS device (such as an iPhone or iPad). 

How to process payment using Google Pay/ GPay

This is only relevant to Stripe SCA and Windcave PxPay, as those payment gateways provide Apply pay and Google pay functionality. 

 

Please open the relevant payment form and fill in the required details. The payment details section will look approximately like this (screenshot below). Here you will select Google pay. 

Note: If google pay does not show on the form (on PC) please check that you are using Chrome.

The ReCAPTCHA has to be validated after which the ‘Next’ button will be clickable. Click the next button to find the popup below:

Selecting 'GPay' at this point will ask for your google account credentials if you are not logged into your google account. If you are logged in, then the popup will ask you which card (associated to your google account) you want to use to make the payment:

After completing the payment, please wait for the checkout screen to show. Not doing so will result in payment not being completed.
